For this special episode we travelled to Peterborough, ON, to interview Melody Hamilton Blondel about how music connects her to her African ancestry. Inspired by a video post of Melody singing spirituals, this conversation explores many interesting facets of coming from a multi-racial background, and finding ways to ensure the history of her African ancestors is not forgotten. The next episode features her grandfather, Lyle Emerson Talbot, a Black Canadian Activist. Don’t miss either episode!
