In this minisode, Michelle explores the story of Canadian War Brides, specifically after WW2 (1939-1945). She shares a few facts about war brides, who they were, where they were from and some statistics about them. Using a special personal story of her Granny (as they called her), she shares her journey to Canada as she married to a Canadian soldier she met in her home country of England and settled in a “strawberry box” house in Renfrew, Ontario.
